Theatre is the actor’s medium.

We transform actors into artists who can craft performance through effective communication, harnessing each actor’s unique self-expression to better serve the stories that connect communities and reflect society.

The Actor’s School is the only actor training program that offers acting classes for local actors that want to create a local professional theatre near you. We offer beginner acting classes and advanced acting courses for professional development in the Berks and Lancaster area of South Eastern Pennsylvania.

We offer individual instruction for private acting lessons, public workshops and classes for teens and adults, academic guest artist or artist residencies for high schools and colleges, children theatre summer camps, as well as customized performances, original murder mysteries, and atmospheric acting for local bars, restaurants, railroads, historic buildings, and mansions.

All the world truly is a stage, and we love creating more players!

Who Are We?

Adam Kissinger

Adam is a Pennsylvania Deitsche theatre artist, musician, emotion coach, and scrapple enthusiast.

Growing up, Adam’s boundless energy led him to dance, which soon transitioned into acting with many of the historic Reading community theatres. In high school, he honed his passion for performing through garage bands and dinner theatre. At Kutztown University, Adam’s theatre studies and transformative mentors deepened his love for stagecraft and sparked a relentless pursuit of performance excellence.

After college, Adam launched a career as a freelance performer, stagehand, and Tech Director while dedicating four years to mastering Alba Emoting, earning his teaching certification under Susana Bloch in Chile. Over his 35+ years as a performer, Adam has focused on the dynamic relationship between performer and audience, making this central to his teaching.

Blending the hard-working ethos of his PA Deitsche roots and a DIY punk sensibility with time-tested traditional theatre techniques, Adam empowers actors to create their own audiences rather than relying solely on conventional theatre institutions. His innovative, no-nonsense approach equips students with the skills to take control of their craft and storytelling.

Griffin Yeyna

Griffin is an actor, photographer, director, teaching artist, and juggler.

Nearly a decade ago he decided to pursue acting as his career path, and he has been working consistently since. Acting isn’t where it stopped, though. Griffin has worked as a stagehand, stage manager, writer, techie, and even found a home at Elizabethtown College directing their mainstage productions in the spring. With dedication and discipline, he resolved himself to conquer every facet of theatre; his goal is possessing any skillset necessary to walk into any theatre space with the ability to do any job needed for that space, whether it be on stage or off. Griffin is a proud example of the fact that you do not need a degree to find success in theatre. He aims to make sure that theatre remains accessible to any and all who wish to participate, refine their craft, and dedicate themselves to becoming an artist.
